What is dental hygiene?
Dental hygiene is a treatment also known as tartar ablation, scaling, or more commonly teeth cleaning.
Regular dental hygiene treatments prevent the formation of cavities and the accumulation of plaque with all its consequences: from simple gum inflammation to the most severe cases of periodontal disease.
What is fluoride prophylaxis?
Application at the end of treatment of fluoride gel to strengthen enamel and prevent caries formation.
What is the difference with traditional whitening?
Traditional in-office whiteningis a customized cosmetic treatment with a higher percentage of medication that takes longer to apply and has a lasting effect.
How long do the results last?
The duration of the brightening treatment is shorter than that of traditional whitening and varies greatly depending on habits and maintenance (coffee, tea, smoking, home hygiene). The goal is to improve brightness and perceived cleanliness; we cannot guarantee a specific "shade."
How is the brightening treatment applied?
A low-peroxide whitening gel is applied to the teeth and activated with photochemical light for about 10 minutes, without gum protection and without sensitivity.
The result is a brighter smile that is immediately visible at the end of the session, in a gentle, comfortable, and minimally invasive way.
Is it suitable for everyone?
It depends on the health of your teeth and gums. If there is significant inflammation, untreated cavities, or excessive buildup, it may be necessary to treat these issues first before proceeding.
Does it cause sensitivity?
It is usually well tolerated. Sensitivity may occur temporarily in those who are predisposed (recessions, already sensitive teeth). Before starting, we will assess the level of risk together.
