Elastodontics is most often aimed at the pediatric patient but also finds indication in adult patients with dental alignment problems, skeletal malocclusions, night snoring or bruxism. It should be remembered that elastodontics does not replace classic orthodontic therapies with fixed braces or aligners but is intended as a supplement, with a view to "early" and functional interceptive orthodontics that take into account the harmonious development of the entire stomatognathic system.

They are generally worn at night and for a few hours of the day performing, depending on the type of pathology to be corrected, specific functional reeducation exercises.
